Programme

The conference programme brought together the expertise of several national and European networks of local governments and numerous partner organisations in a joint effort to reach out to local governments all over Europe and present the most innovative examples. Over the course of the 3 conference days, participants have been taken on a journey through the landscape of local sustainability activities in Europe, touching upon international trends and local innovation, political networking and key messages for the future.

Speakers
The programme featured committed politicians and technical experts from local authorities from Europe and other part of the world, internationally renowned experts and prestigious representatives from EU institutions, business and other organisations! Discover here the numerous speakers that attended the event.

Agora
The Agora - a place of assembly and exchange - offered a structured space for participants to meet, present and discuss local initiatives over lunches and coffee breaks, in an informal setting that allowed small group discussions with and amongst delegates. More details about the Agora programme in this section!

Signatory ceremony
Beyond being inspired by the abundant innovative ideas, initiatives and projects presented in Dunkerque, local governments leaders had the opportunity to make concrete commitment by signing the Aalborg Commitment during the Signatory Ceremony which took place on 20 May.
