The 11th Conference on Energy, 26-28 January 2010

From 26 to 28 January, elected representatives and key actors in the field of energy from France and the rest of Europe will meet in the Congress Palace in Dunkerque in order to debate and exchange on actions to be taken by 2010 at the regional and local level.

The conference is a major event in a series of activities set in the frame of the Dunkerque 2010 – A meeting point for sustainable development. The regional and local authorities have a unique opportunity to change the way their territories are developing, create new jobs and improve the quality of life in the long-term, while consuming less energy more efficiently, increasing significantly the share of renewable energy used and therefore reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

This 11th edition of the conference will show different approaches, the changes implemented in the regions, the stakes involved and different experiences in order to mobilise all the actors at a local and regional level.
